Why is my baby's diaper is leaking?

A possible reason for diaper leaking is around the fit of the diaper. To ensure a snug fit run your finger around the waist band and cuffs, and adjust the stretchy tabs to help ensure a better fit. You can also move up to the next size if your baby is close to the upper end of the weight range of the diaper you're currently using.

What causes diaper rash?

Diaper rash is very common. The best way to prevent diaper rash is to change your baby's diaper as soon as it becomes wet or soiled. Change your Simply Kids® diapers frequently and use our Simply Kids® wet wipes to keep baby's skin clean. After air drying baby's bottom apply a layer of our Simply Kids® diaper rash cream to help treat and protect against chafing and redness. If diaper rash persists, you need to contact your pediatrician.

What are symptoms of diaper rash?

Diaper rash often appears as inflammation and redness on the skin with shiny patches and some pimply spots. The rash is usually contained to the diaper area (buttocks, upper thighs and genitalia). When the diaper rash turns into an infection, red bumps in the skin folds or creases will appear. Blisters, pus, or red and severly swollen areas may also be signs of infection. If the rash persists or worsens (i.e. the rash develops blisters, pus-filled spots or is associated with fever) or lasts for more than 7 days, it is recommended to consult your pediatrician.

Is the Simply Kids ® food packaging safe and recyclable?

Our primary concern is always your child's safety. Our Simply Kids® baby food purée pouches are BPA (Bisphenol A) free and BPS (Bisphenol S) or Phthalates free, which are the main toxin concerns relating to plastics. Our spouts are made from PE plastic, which is very common in food packaging material. The pouches are made of a layer of aluminium between the two layers of plastic that keep the food safe, fresh and ready to use. The caps and cardboard are fully recyclable and the pouches are accepted by some municipalities. When compared to glass jars used for baby food, our pouches use as little as 8% of the energy used to make and deliver glass jars to your retail store. The overall environmental impact is a smaller carbon footprint when compared to glass jars.

How do the Simply Kid ® baby food purée remain shelf stable without adding preservatives?

All our ingredients are organically certified with carefully balanced recipes that ensure a natural acidity of the food and by adding a small amount of organic lemon juice concetrate ensures that all food is safe and bacteria free. The baby purée is then flash pasteurized and the pouches are filled hot hot to ensure they are free of bacteria. Finally, each pouch is vacuum sealed before each cap is tightly screwed on. This will eliminate any oxygen in the pouch, keeping Simply Kids® baby purée fresh until you are ready to feed it to your toddler. You must always supervise your child when eating.

Can I freeze or microwave the Simply Kids® baby food pouches?

No. We do not recommened freezing or using a microwave to heat up the baby food purée. This will damage the pouch in the freezer and the aluminium liner inside the pouch will get too hot. It best to keep the pouches at room temperature. If you need to heat up your baby's food, put the pouch in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes. Always test the temperature before you feed your child.

Do the Simply Kids® baby food products contain GMOs?

All our baby food product contain no GMOs, the baby food purée and rice puffs are certified organic which means they are completely free of GMOs.

How long will the Simply Kids® baby food purée products stay fresh after they are opened?
